Chamtrul Rinpoche to consecrate Samtendzong in Portugal,
27th - 29th September 2024
Exciting news! Samtendzong, a Dharma centre in Portugal, being built by students of Chamtrul Rinpoche and other Nyingma lamas, will be inaugurated in September 2024. The opening ceremonies will be held between 27th and 29th September and consecration rituals for the centre, temple, and holy texts will be conducted by Chamtrul Rinpoche.

Chamtrul Rinpoche's Fourth visit to Malta
10th - 11th September 2024
We are so blessed that Chamtrul Rinpoche will be visiting us a fourth time in 2024! Anyone who was there last September will certainly still cherish the memories of us all chanting mantras together in Valletta.

Dates are confirmed - 10th and 11th September 2024.

This year we are twice as lucky! As well as teaching in the evenings, from 6 - 8 pm, to the general public, Rinpoche will be giving teachings to anyone with an interest in Buddhist Practice in the mornings too, from 9 - 11 am.
​
The topics that Rinpoche has chosen for us are the following:

Tuesday 10th September
9.00 - 11.00: The Path of Three Beings and the Ways of Progressing
18.00 - 20.00: The Mind: Root of Happiness and Suffering

Wednesday 11th September
9.00 - 11: 00: How to Accomplish the Two Collections
18.00 - 20.00: How to Be at Ease and Relax with Meditation on the Nature of Mind

Rinpoche has also kindly agreed to give Refuge Vows to anyone who is interested. Date and time to be confirmed.
This year, the event will take place at Rivotorto Retreat House, Sommier Street, Birkirkara
​
In order to get the most of the experience, we have decided to provide the option for attendees to stay overnight. This will enable us to leave our ordinary lives behind, avoid traffic and parking issues, and do some practice together in between the sessions. Accommodation ranges from single to shared rooms, room only, bed and breakfast, half board and full board and costs between €35 - €75 per night.

Chamtrul Rinpoche first visited the Maltese islands in 2018, then again in 2019. Due to Covid, all teachings had to be cancelled from 2020 to 2022.
​
During his talks, Chamtrul Rinpoche shares his wisdom with all who are interested. Each teaching is centered on a specific subject within Tibetan Buddhism.
